Cool website: www.DailyLook.com

You know when you shop online and the outfits look so ''put together'' in pictures but they're usually just selling one piece of the outift? It's so annoying, I know. While browsing the web I came accross this really cool website called Daily Look. Just like the name says, everyday there is a ''Look of the day'' put together by different stylists. The cool part is that you can buy the entire outfit or parts of the outfit. The complete outfit..shoes, accessories included. So if you have something in your wardrobe that looks like one of the pieces on the model, then you don't necessarily have to buy it. You can just pick the rest of the pieces. The other nice part is that the pieces are usually not really expensive. Since I signed up on the website a couple of weeks ago, I have never seen a piece over 40$. Usually the items are around 20-35$ each.

I think it's cool. I think it's veeerry cool.

OPI - Nicki Minaj Collection

OPI and Nicki Minaj recently teamed up and released a new collection of nail polishes.

Here is the promotional picture:

The colors in order are: Pink Friday, Did It On 'Em, Fly, Metallic 4 Life, Save Me and Super Bass.

Here are my thoughts:

Pink Friday: Pretty cute milky pink with a cream finish. I like this. I think it's a very sweet pink to have in your collection.

Did It On 'Em: ''In your face'' green-toned yellow with a cream finish. I don't like it. I don't like it at all. My god, I don't even know what to say.
Fly: A very bright teal color with cream finish. I'm not sure about this one. I don't like it, but I don't hate it either. I just think that ''it's ok, but not for me''.

Metallic 4 Life: Very edgy black nail polish with black and silver glitters. L-O-V-E at first sight. The black isn't very thick, so 2 or 3 layers are needed to have a fully opaque look. Does that matter when the color is absolutely awesome? Not to me it doesn't! It's by far my FAVORITE of this collection. Love Love Love.

Save Me: Clear nail polish with all kind of multi colored glitters in it. Meh. Not much to say about it. If you like glitter, you might like this one. Again, ''it's ok, but not for me''.

Super Bass: Purple shatter with subtle glitters. Now I know alot of people are sick of shatters. I'm not. And the reason is, I never bought one before! So I thought that this would be a good one to try. The color is really nice.

I bought Pink Friday, Super Bass and Metallic 4 life. That is very representative of my feelings towards this collection as a whole: I don't love it, I don't hate it. I think that the only polish that is really worth getting is Metallic 4 life. I've never seen anything like it before, it's just amazing. As for Pink Friday, it's nothing very special. Many dupes probably exist for this one. I bought Super Bass because I never owned a Shatter before but you can probably live without it. As for the other three, I'll pass.

Voilà!

Yves Saint Laurent - Spring 2012

This week I managed to get my hands on quite a few items of the YSL Spring 2012 makeup collection. I'm in love. There's only a select few high-end brands that can be truly considered luxurious. YSL is definitely one of them. The packaging and the quality of the products themselves are just outstanding.  The collection consists of the following items and these following shades:

- Candy Palette - Eyeshadow Palette with 4 different shades
- Voile de blush - Gel blush in: Carmine Veil, Pink Veil and Coral Veil
- La Laque - Nail Polish Duos in : Tangering Orange & Bubble Gum Pink OR  Chocolatey Brown & Mint Green
- Rouge Volupté Perle Lipsticks in : Irridescent Burgundy, Sparkling Fushia, Shimmering Coral and Milky Pink
- Golden Gloss in : Golden Peach and Golden Violet
- Ombre 5 lumiere - Eyeshadow Palette with 5 different shades

Here are pictures of the collection, in the order in which they were mentionned above.
Note that these pictures were taken from the website www.holtrenfrew.com.

I am so excited by this collection. I feel like it has everything a good makeup collection should have: A good range of shades that suit different skin tones, a range of different products, light color shades that are suitable for warmer days.

I personally bought all 4 lipsticks and the nail polish duo in Orange Tangerine and Bubble Gum Pink. The colors are ab-so-lutely stunning. The color payoff is amazing. The lipsticks feel wonderful on the lips. They don't feel ''drying'' on your lips like some lipsticks do sometimes. I think that the Rouge Volupte lipsticks are genuinely the best lipsticks in the world. The packaging, as you can is in the picture, is beautiful and so very glamorous. I'm really looking forward to using these products this spring. I don't know if I'll even be able to wait until then.

As I've mentionned before, I usually don't like wearing much color on my face. I usually go for neutral colors on my eyes and nude-pink lipsticks or tinted lip balms. So I think that during day-time, colors like Milky Pink and Shimmering Coral are perfect. And as for the other colors, I'm definitely going to wear them at night time when I go out with friends.

I am considering going back for the 4 color eyeshadow palette and and the 2 lip glosses. But I don't know yet. They're very pricey. :/ What's am I going to do?

Hope you enjoyed x

The Body Shop's Seaweed Deep Cleansing Facial Wash

I was washing my makeup off today, as usual and I thought: god I love this cleanser...as usual. And I mean I think that EVERY SINGLE TIME. I've tried quite a few cleansers, especially eye makeup removers, and some were really good...but none were as amazing as The Body Shop's facial wash. I'm the kind of person that likes one step cleansing and I like to be gentle with my skin. Especially on my face. I mean...I'm in no hurry to start looking old and wrinkly, are you?

All you have to do is the following:
1) Wet your face with a bit of water.
2) Pour a tiny bit of product in your hands.
3) Massage your face softly with it.

I promise you this will remove everything. It's like you've never had any makeup on your face, ever. I love it. Forget makeup wipes....I personally think they are not very good for the skin around your eyes...if you use them, you have to be extra gentle and sometimes you have to wipe your eyes several times to get the product off. Such a hassle.

It is 12$ here in Canada but The Body Shop often has sales and you can buy a couple and get one free. I stock up on this stuff every single time :)

L'Oréal Colour Riche Balms

I got really excited this week when I walked past the display for the new L'Oréal Colour Riche Balms. I debated for an entire second as to whether I should buy one or not. I bought 5 in the end. They looked quite nice when I swatched them on my hand. A few days before that, I've come across the Revlon Lip Butters at another store. Everyone has been talking about them and the swatches were really nice. Very pigmented...but I simply couldn't justify spending $10.50 for each of the ones I liked. Way too expensive for what it is, in my opinion. So when I saw that the L'Oréal balms were $7.98 I decided to grab a few of them. So here's the deal:

What it is: Tinted lip balms, ''comparable'' to the Revlon Colorburst Lip Butters. There is a total of 8 shades I believe.

Packaging: It's all made of plastic but it's very pretty. The lids are of the color of the shade. The bottom part which contains the product is a golden color. The writings on the lid are also of a golden color. Very nice and classic and looks (almost) high end.

Color payoff: Very sheer. I can't stress that enough. Some are more sheer than others, if that's even possible. However, if you are like me and you don't like wearing too much gloss or lipstick during the day, these are perfect. <3 They give a tiny bit of color and shine, nothing outrageous. But if you want a big color payoff, these are not for you.

Hydration: They feel just like a good lip balm. Soft, not sticky and they keep your lips hydrated!

I'm happy with this purchase, but I wouldn't recommend it for everyone!

Here's a few pictures I took:

From left to right they are: Nourishing Nude, Tender Mauve, Plush Plum, Rose Elixir and Pink Satin

Hope you enjoyed!
